OUTINGS to SKOKIE LAGOONS

These are guided trips to less traveled sections of the river. Typically, we take 10-20 paddlers, meeting at the starting point. They average about 2-3 hours, plus some time shuttling to our cars, for those trips that start and end at different points. By reservation only: call 773 704-2663 or e-mail.

Lap the Lagoons tour:We'll launch at the Tower Road landing and paddle north to the Botanical Gardens entrance and back. The lagoons are open ponds in the forest preserves, and we'll be paddling through some backwater areas that few paddlers visit.
This trip is suitable for beginners; it will require a couple easy portages over low dams.
$40 / paddler in a single kayak or $30 per paddler in a canoe or tandem kayak.
